BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2010 at the 109!;
Wow, what a night at the battle of the bands 8/28/2110 at Club 109.
All the bands could have one and it was said the judges had a really hard time! (Who said Simon's Job is easy)
She's a Kreeper - a very good Punk / Ska band (even added a rap element.) Nice mix and the drummer stood out and was an amazing showman! The guitarist and bassist swapped instruments for a tune and these guys could have easily been a part of the finals. Look for these guys at the Van's Warped Tour in years to come.
Driving Alexis - This hardcore act of youngsters are the future of this style. They are young and talented. With a little more polish, like coordinated and looking at the audience a bit more they are a force to be recon with. This comes with playing out more.
Aloretta - The hard edge band commanded the audience from the get go. Well choreographed songs got the pit going. The guitarists even threw in a little Van Halen flare which added to the musician ship of the well rehearsed band. If they can match this performance next week, they could be the band to beat.
Eyes on Aurora - These five hard rockers are the youngest band to make the finals. Its hard
to believe that the drummer has only been playing for 2 years the judges commented. Tight and will only get better with more live experience. the female bassist holds her own. With a bit more of a coordinated stage show these guys could surprise!

hooks and originality you might see these guys in the future opening for acts on MTV soon! This was the only band of the day to receive an encore chant from the audience!The singer showed the other bands respect, which was nice to see in a competition. Looking forward to see if they can close the deal again next week!

A solid group of musicians including a female guitarist that tore through the music, proving this new generation of female rockers are
to be respected. The front man did a nice job managing the flow and interacting with the crowd. If they win, it will not be a surprise.
